Hyperflux High-Definition Magnetic Particle Velocimeter

The Hyperflux velocimeter is a particle analyzer and velocimeter that is used to measure the speed of movement of cells and particles based on “magnetophoretic mobility” and is driven by a calibrated magnetic field within the device. In addition to measured speed, the Hyperflux also measures and generates 22 other characteristics about each identified particle including: size, sedimentation rate, shape, and intensity.

Magnaquant’s Hyperflux velocimeter is the only system that is able to provide quantitative video analysis of cells or particles and their motion as part of a fast and automated turnkey system. It utilizes Point Grey’s Grasshopper camera and a custom software package that operates the system from a keyboard and creates histograms under operator control. The Hyperflux velocimeter is a powerful analytical tool for cell analysis and particle quality assessment. A special interactive data display provides sample and buffer flow rates for Magnaquant’s Quadrasep (QMS) magnetic cell sorter.
